2024 Midwifery Matters Conference: Embracing Diversity in Midwifery

The Alberta Association of Midwives is proud to present the 2024 Midwifery Matters Conference, an event that brings together midwives, maternal health professionals, and advocates to engage in a dynamic and inspiring exploration of diversity within midwifery. This year’s theme, Embracing Diversity in Midwifery, reflects our commitment to fostering an inclusive and compassionate environment that enhances care for every family across Alberta.

Whether you’re a seasoned midwife, a student, or a healthcare professional, this conference offers an exciting opportunity to deepen your knowledge, expand your skill set, and strengthen your community connections.

Why This Conference Matters

At its core, the Midwifery Matters Conference is about advancing midwifery practice in a way that embraces the richness of our communities. As midwives, we provide critical care during some of life’s most transformative moments. To do so effectively, we must continuously learn from one another and grow our understanding of diverse needs—whether cultural, emotional, or medical. This conference is designed to equip you with the tools, insights, and inspiration to ensure every client feels seen, safe, and supported.
