About Tamara Lacelle, RM

Tamara is a Registered Midwife who believes that each person has the right to loving, respectful, evidence-based care.

She understands the value in deeply supporting people who are experiencing or have experienced pregnancy and infant loss, towards healing and wholeness. She graduated from Mount Royal University in 2016, and her educational focus included primary research on the particular needs of those going through loss, and how healthcare practitioners can best support them.

Tamara currently works as a part of the team of amazing Juniper Midwives, who’s focus includes bringing exceptional care to indigenous pregnant people in the Calgary Area. She is also closely connected to the Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Center and spends time caring for people experiencing loss who present there.

She has an astronomical obsession with plants (106 plants in her house… and counting), her favourite constellation is Cassiopeia, and the top left buckle of her beloved Birkenstocks is currently broken (she still wears them).
