Aurora Midwifery has one upcoming opening for a full-time locum position. Less than full-time will also be considered.
Beginning on April 1, 2021 for a 9-month parental leave with the possibility of extension.
Alberta has fully funded midwifery care, creating an incredible demand for midwifery care and long waiting lists. We hold privileges at all Calgary hospitals, though our primary site is the South Health Campus.
Aurora Midwifery is an established practice with a beautiful clinic space in South Calgary. We have a diverse community of clients and provide compassionate and evidence-based care in a supportive and friendly environment. We pride ourselves on having built excellent relationships with our interprofessional colleagues and hope you will help to nurture those relationships. Ensuring a healthy work-life balance is important to us. The on-call schedule and days off will be decided upon by the team members.
This could be an opportunity for a new registrant who will soon complete their NR year to be able to stay in Calgary.
The interested applicants must
Possess current (or be eligible for) registration with the College of Midwives of Alberta have current CPR, NRP, and Emergency Skills certification. New Registrants are welcome to apply but preference will be given to a general registrant.
Have excellent communication skills, work well in within a small team, and contribute positively to the practice.
Be flexible and reliable with on call rotation.
Hold a full driver’s license and have immediate access to a reliable vehicle.
