Pay-What-you-Can Perinatal Counselling

Jenn Wright-Maley, Registered Psychotherapist - Qualifying

Hello! I’m Jenn (she/her). I’m in final year of a masters in counselling psychology and providing perinatal counselling as a student therapist.

In my 13 years working as a midwife, I have had the honour of holding space for people through life’s most beautiful and most painful moments.

As a mother of three young kids, I’ve experienced the highs and lows of navigating pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and parenting. Our mental health as parents matters.

Areas of interest of mine include birth trauma, grief, parenting and relationship challenges. I hold a certification specific to perinatal mental health (PMH-C). My style is grounded in relational and attachment-informed therapeutic approaches. I am trained to use eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), which is a helpful framework for working through traumatic memories but can also be effective for other common concerns. I also have training in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), internal family systems (IFS), and relational-cultural therapy.

It takes courage to reach out. If you’re interested in working with me, let’s chat to see if I’d be a good fit to support you.
